PITTSBURG, Kan. (Feb. 15, 2020) – Freshmen Colton Brown (3,000 meters) and
Drake Holifield (60-meter hurdles) led Oklahoma Christian on Saturday in Pittsburg State's Indoor Gorilla Classic track and field meet at the Robert W. Plaster Center.
Brown, from Boise City, Okla., finished 14th among 45 runners in the 3,000 meters with a time of 8:52.31, while teammate
Ethan Anthony, a freshman from Mornington, Australia, had a time of 9:37.83.
Holifield, from Wall, Texas, had qualified on Friday for the preliminary round of the 60-meter hurdles. He finished 22nd among 29 who reached that round with a time of 8.54 seconds.
OC runners competed in two other events Saturday. Senior
Kelton Reynolds of Abilene, Texas, ran a mile time of 4:26.58, and in the 800 meters, sophomore
Reid Little of Amarillo, Texas (2:01.48), sophomore
Nick Parizek of Oklahoma City (2:02.19) and junior
Brady Aderholt of Vernon, Texas (2:03.68) all raced.
The Eagles will compete on Friday and Saturday in the Lone Star Conference Indoor Championships, to be held at Texas Tech's Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas.
