TECUMSEH, Okla. (Dec. 9, 2019) – Emily Ridley, a standout for the Tecumseh High School volleyball team, has signed to play collegiately at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach
Barry Wheeler said Monday.
Ridley played multiple positions for Tecumseh but will focus on being a defensive specialist/libero for OC. During her senior season at Tecumseh, she finished with 46 assists, 130 kills and 390 digs for a team that went 17-8 in Class 4A.
She plays club volleyball for Oklahoma Peak Performance. With her club, she competed last summer in the USA Volleyball Girls Junior National Championships in Indianapolis and spent time as a volleyball ambassador in Italy as well.
"We are so blessed to have Emily joining the OC volleyball family," Wheeler said. "She has proven to be a solid athlete and will be a welcome addition to our defensive group. She had the opportunity to play at another Division II program in Oklahoma and chose OC. Her experience playing overseas last summer will be an asset as well."
