OKLAHOMA CITY (Dec. 15, 2019) – A sharpshooting performance against a Lone Star Conference opponent earned Oklahoma Christian basketball player
Aubrey Johnson recognition Sunday as the Eagle of the Week.
Johnson, a 6-foot-2 senior guard from Mustang, poured in a season-high 23 points to lead the Eagles to a 69-61 win over Arkansas-Fort Smith on Saturday in the Eagles' Nest. The win propelled OC into a tie for its division lead in the Lone Star with a 2-1 conference record.
Johnson hit 7 of 11 3-point attempts for the Eagles against UAFS. It was the third time in his OC career that he recorded seven or more 3-pointers in a game.
The Eagle of the Week award recognizes the top performer in OC athletics for the previous week. The honor is presented each week at least one OC athletic team is in competition.
