Kaylie Upton pitched six shutout innings and delivered a RBI single to lead Oklahoma Christian to a 3-0 win over Eastern New Mexico in the Lady Eagles' final game on Saturday in the North Texas Softball Bash.
The win helped OC (6-4) rebound after an earlier 2-1, 8-inning loss to former Heartland Conference rival Texas-Permian Basin at Jennifer McFalls Park.
Upton (1-0) scattered six hits against Eastern New Mexico (3-8), scattered six hits and allowed only one Greyhound runner to advance as far as third base. At the plate, she doubled down the left-field line in the third inning and scored on a throwing error by Eastern New Mexico pitcher Kaylee Rogers (2-3).
In the fourth, OC added two more runs.
Bridget White doubled down the right-field line and scored on a sacrifice bunt by

Madison Hagood relieved Upton and pitched a scoreless seventh inning to pick up her first save of the season.
OC lost to UTPB (1-6) for the first time since the 2013 campaign, ending a nine-game winning streak over the Falcons, who joined the Lone Star Conference for this season.
The Falcons went up 1-0 in the fourth, as Daisy Aguilar walked and eventually scored on a wild pitch. OC equalized in the sixth after
Caitlin Young and Upton opened the inning with singles. Young eventually was thrown out at third base, but Upton came around to score on a single to right-center field by
Madison Nordyke.
The international tiebreaker rule was used in the eighth inning. UTPB's Alyssa Lopez was placed on second base to start the inning, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt and scored on a double to left field by Chelsae Faries off Nordyke (2-2).
Eichler began the bottom of the eighth on second base for OC, but Young and Upton struck out and
Sheridan Bond grounded out to end the game. UTPB pitcher Kylee Foster (1-2) allowed five hits while going the distance.
OC will return to action on Tuesday for a 5 p.m. doubleheader at Texas Woman's.
