OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Dec. 3, 2009) – The Oklahoma Christian men's basketball team held their undefeated record at the Eagles' Nest on Thursday night in a 74-69 victory over Wayland Baptist University.

The Eagles endured several lead changes from the game's start, to remain behind for the majority of the first half, though by only a few points. At the start of the second period, WBU increased their lead to seven points until the Eagles turned the tide of the game in their favor taking the lead early in the half and never giving it up.

Jason Taylor returned to the Eagles' lineup after missing two straight games and bounced back to provide his notorious inside game for the Eagles. Taylor put up 23 points for the Eagles now averaging 20.8 points per game this season in the six games he's played. Taylor also grabbed 10 boards for the Eagles along with making two steals.

Again, proving his perimeter capabilities, Jeff Crocker drained three baskets from behind the arc in addition to his seven other points on the night for a total of 16 to add to the Eagles' score. Additionally, Crocker had seven assists and rebounds apiece.

Andre Vaughn and Chad Andres helped the Eagles down low scoring 11 and 10 points, respectively. Vaughn pulled down seven rebounds and made three assists while Endres helped the Eagles maintain possession with three steals for the night.

Both David Jackson and Devin White had six points apiece Jackson handing out four assists and grabbing two steals.

The Eagles shot well from the field with 47 percent accuracy and well from the free throw line hitting 18 of 25.

The Eagles are now 8-0 on the season and are only one win away from the 1000th win in the Eagles' history.

The Eagles will play Lubbock Christian University on Saturday afternoon as a part of a women's and men's double header. The men will follow the women's 1 p.m. start with a 3 p.m. tip-off.
