EDMOND, Okla. - No. 22 Oklahoma Christian will face off against No. 6 West Texas A&M in the 2026 NCAA Division II South Central Super Regional in a best-of-three series from Canyon. Texas, May 21-22.
EAGLE OUTLOOK (42-14, 30-10 LSC)
For the second time in three years, Oklahoma Christian will play for its first-ever trip to the NCAA DII Women's College World Series. The Eagles punched their ticket to the Super Regional after sweeping South Central Region-1 with a win over No. 18 UT Tyler and a pair of victories over No. 7 Colorado Christian.
The trio of victories in Denver, Colo., improved OC to 42-14 overall, matching its most wins in program history, joining the 2014 squad that finished as National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) National Runner-Ups. One win Thursday or Friday against the Lady Buffs would signify the most wins in program history.
Oklahoma Christian brings four D2CCA All-Region honorees to west Texas, with senior pitcher
Jill Dickson and junior shortstop
Kallie Rupp leading the way as First Team recipients. Senior outfielder
Kadence Brewster and true freshman pitcher
Ella Resendiz were each named Second Team, with Resendiz becoming the first OC softball freshman to be named All-Region since 2021.
Thursday and Friday will be at least the fifth and sixth time Oklahoma Christian and West Texas A&M have played this season, with WT taking three of the first four meetings. The Eagles' one win over the Lady Buffs did come at Schaeffer Park three months ago, 11-5, as OC used 17 hits to pull off the then-top-5 upset. The maroon-and-gray are 9-15 against the Lady Buffs in the DII era.
