Women's Results
The stand-out performances of the meet came in what was the final event of the day where a team consisting of
Brooke Latham,
Katie Bosley,
Kristen Kirk and
Kinley Kite broke the school record in the distance medley relay, finishing in third place overall in a time of 12:07.13.Â
Along with the relay, Latham and Kite both put forward strong individual results with Latham placing fourth in the mile with a time of 4:59.79. Kite finished second in the 3000m in what was a provisional national mark with a time of 9:50.67.Â
In the High Jump,
Emory Glavan finished third in the open event with a jump of 1.54m or 5'0,75" while
Laila Ahmed finished seventh in the invitational event with a jump of 1.59m or 5'2.50".Â
Men's Results
Starting off the day for the men was
Cole Powell in the 5000m where he registered a 15th place finish with a time of 15:33.13. In the men's mile,Â
Tegen Arega was the top finisher placing 19th in a time of 4:21.32. Arega also competed in the 3000m placing 13th in a time of 8:42.20.
In the 800m,
Collin Whitefield was the top finisher for the Eagles finishing 19th with a time of 1:58.64. The distance medley relay rounded out the day for the men where they finished 11th in a time of 10:55.30.
Up Next
The Eagles will now have a week off from competing before headlining back to Pittsburgh State for the Gorilla Classic which will take place across two days beginning February 14th and continuing until February 15th.
