Eagles Close Out Regular Season With Conference Series With Western New Mexico

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (29-20, 24-15) will host Western New Mexico (9-37, 6-33). The Eagles are looking to end the regular season with a series sweep and strong momentum going into the conference tournament next week.

What To Know About The Eagles 

  • Head Coach Shalee Rodriguez is entering her 3rd season at the helm for the Eagles, and coming into this season, Rodriguez held an overall record of 77-32.
  • Last season, the Eagles finished with an overall record of 38-17 and a 29-13 conference record.
  • The Eagles fell short in the Lone Star Conference Championship, losing to UT Tyler 4-3. 
  • In the NCAA South Central Regional championship, OC battled with UT Tyler before the Patriots won to end the season.
  • The Eagles' success at the plate starts with Kadence Brewster leading the way. Brewster is hitting .297 in 158 at-bats and has recorded 47 hits with 18 RBIs, 2 home runs, and scoring herself 19 times. 
  • Kiley Brewster has been a source of offense for the Eagles in the middle part of the conference. Brewster is holding an average of .296 in 142 at-bats, with 16 RBIs on 42 hits and crossing home plate 14 times herself.
  • Whitney Walde is helping the Eagles in the batter's box and behind the plate, being a critical part of the Eagles' defense as the starting catcher. Walde is also hitting a .311 average with 42 hits, 7 doubles, and 12 RBIs.

Senior Day 

The Eagles will honor the seniors who have given the program so much success over the last four years before the series finale on Saturday. The seven seniors who will be honored are Brooklin Bain, Kristen Whitehouse, Whitney Walde, Aaliyah Brown, Chloe Woodward, Kiley Janzen, and Tristyn Hamilton.
