Eagles Look To Keep Winning Streak Going Against Cameron at Home

Oklahoma City, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (11-6, 7-2) will host Cameron (8-5, 5-4) for the midweek conference series, to close out the month of February.

What To Know About The Eagles 

  • Head Coach Shalee Rodriguez is entering her 3rd season at the helm for the Eagles. Coming into this season, Rodriguez holds an overall record of 77-32.

  • Last season, the Eagles finished with an overall record of 38-17 and a 29-13 conference record.

  • The Eagles fell short in the Lone Star Conference Championship, losing to UT Tyler 4-3. 

  • In the NCAA South Central Regional championship, OC battled with UT Tyler before the Patriots won to end the season.

  • The Eagles have three batters hitting over .300, with Kadence Brewster leading the way. Brewster is hitting just under .400, and in 53 at-bats, she has recorded 21 hits with 6 RBIs, 2 home runs, and scoring herself 10 times. 

  • Aaliyah Brown has the hot bat in conference play as she is up to a .340 hitting percentage, with 16 hits in 47 at-bats. Brown has 5 doubles, 2 home runs, and brought in 11 RBIs.

  • Kristen Whitehouse has been a reliable source of offense for the Eagles, with 15 hits, driving in 7 RBIs, and crossing home 8 times and holding a .313 hitting percentage

  • Emma Johansen has been the head coach of the Aggies since June 2022. Before that, Johansen coached at West Florida where she led the school to several postseason runs. 

  • The Aggies have three players hitting above .300; Taylor Rowley with a .375, Rylee Ross hitting .351 and Kaiden Borden hitting .325. 

  • Kelsey Creech has also been a big source of offense for the Aggies, hitting 3 home runs on the season and already bringing in 12 RBIs. 

  • The Aggies are seeing a great surge in power hitting this season, as a team they have already hit 12 home runs on the season. 

  • The Aggies see most of their pitching coming from Jocelyn Bright and Stormee Reed. The two are leading the team to a 3.14 ERA and combined they have a win-loss record of 7-2.

Last Year Matchup

  • The Eagles won last year's series, going 2-1 against the Aggies. 

  • Game one was a shutout win for the Eagles, but the Aggies turned around to win game two with their own shutout. Game three was a back-and-forth battle for the series win where the Eagles came out on top.
