Grand Prairie, Texas.- Oklahoma Christian's men's cross country continued its season in Dallas, Texas, for the DBU Old Glory Gallop Saturday morning Oct. 5, placing 30th out of 41 teams.
Cade Berkey led the Eagles, putting together a breakout performance over the 8km distance, finishing in 114th with a time of 26:44. Freshman
Brennan Kirk was not to far behind finishing with a time of 27:10 which was also a personal best time over the distance in his short collegiate career so far.
Both Berkey and Kirk have been able to work well together throughout the three races they have raced with each other, which has led to a great start to the season for the pair of them.
The top five for the Eagles was rounded out by freshman
Jonah Hays who crossed the line in 28:07, followed by a pair of sophomores
Cole Green and
Victor Gitonga who finished in 28:53 and 29:38 respectively.
This rounded out a tough stretch of races with two races in the space of seven days for these gentlemen who will now rest up until championship season starts with the Lone Star Conference Championships in three weeks time in Kingsville, Texas. Â
