DALLAS, Texas - Oklahoma Christian swam against NCAA Division I members SMU and Incarnate Word Friday, Oct. 18 as
Tammy Greenwood for the women paced the Eagles with two individual wins and a relay victory.
Greenwood started off the wins for OC by taking first in the 200-yard freestyle by four whole seconds, touching at 1:49.55. Later in the meet, Greenwood got her second win in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.97.
Joining Greenwood with podium-topping performances was
Hailey Uhrig, who won the 200 breaststroke at 2:21.67, as
Grace Cooper (2:26.87) and
Lainy Lewis (2:27.44) also bested the Division I competition.
Jadie Brister (2:10.75) later won the 200 IM for the Eagle women's final individual win of the night.
Greenwood ended the night with a win alongside
Jaiden Branstrom,
Laura Byars and
Vanessa Weatherford in the 400 free relay, edging out Incarnate Word's quartet by 66 hundredths of a second with a winning time of 3:28.97.
The 200 IM, as it did for Brister on the women's side, held a meet-best finish for the men as newcomer Jarrod Arroyo posted second behind SMU's Jack Moore with a runner-up time of 1:50.52, beating six other Division I competitors.
Eli Rollen claimed two third-place finishes in the 100 backstroke (49.86) and the 200 back (1:49.37) while
Victor Rosado recorded a third-place finish in the 200 free (1:38.12).
Oklahoma Christian will now have about a month off from competition before hosting its big three-day mid-season meet in the Eagle Invitational Nov. 15-17 at the Mitch Park YMCA.
