Oklahoma City, OK - The Oklahoma Christian Eagles Baseball team was tabbed to finish 11th in the Lone Star Conference preseason poll, which was released this morning.
The Eagles received 127 votes, putting them behind Texas A&M International with 162.
Angelo State, the defending national champion, claimed all but one of the first-place votes (38 out of 39) receiving a total of 503 votes and landing them the number 1 spot on this year's poll.
Rounding out the rest of the standings is UT Tyler in second (450), then St. Edwards (396), Lubbock Christian (388), West Texas A&M (379), Texas A&M-Kingsville (313), St. Mary's (257), UT Permian Basin (217), Eastern New Mexico (188), Texas A&M International (162), Oklahoma Christian (127), Cameron (97), and Arkansas-Fort Smith (72).
The Eagles went 13-37 last season with a 13-35 record in conference play. They are returning 6 starters after coming out of an offseason that saw a lot of roster turnover.
OC will look to open its season with a win in its first away series of the year on Friday, February 2nd at #2 ranked UT Tyler.
