Migl Earns Program's First LSC Hitter of the Week Since 2021

RICHARDSON, Texas - Monday, Apr. 13, Trey Migl became the first Oklahoma Christian baseball player to be named the Lone Star Conference Hitter of the Week since Chance Westervelt earned the honor March 16, 2021.

Migl's accolade comes on the heels of OC's first home conference series sweep since that same 2021 campaign. The Eagles won all four games over UT Permian Basin by three or fewer runs, including three one-run victories.

The senior outfielder hit .571 (8-for-14) with three home runs while working five walks, including one intentional walk, to record a .684 on-base percentage. Migl also scored 10 runs on the weekend, marking the most runs by a single player in a single conference series since Antonio Sabala in 2024.

The Piedmont, Okla., native's first at-bat of the weekend featured his first of three home runs as the run scored signaled three career benchmarks of 250 hits, 200 runs and 150 RBI.

Migl is currently sporting a team-high 16-game hitting streak - the longest by an Eagle since Hunter Markwardt's 28-game such streak in 2019 and the second longest since making the move to NCAA Division II (since 2013).

Oklahoma Christian has ABCA No. 14 UT Tyler due up in what will be OC's final road trip of the 2026 regular season Apr. 17-19 before returning home for the home series finale Apr. 24-26.
