Baseball Honors 15 Seniors in Regular Season Finale

EDMOND, Okla. - 13 of the 15 seniors recognized on Saturday's Senior Day saw action as Oklahoma Christian lost to Sul Ross in the final two games of the 2026 regular season, 13-8 and 10-4.

In game one, the Eagles got eight of their 12 total hits from seniors Jontae Hennesy (3-for-3) and Reed Thomas (5-for-5), as Thomas' five hits tied the most by an OC baseball player this season. During the month of April, the Mansfield, Texas, native hit .464 (26-for-56) while Hennesy closed the season on a 12-game hitting streak.

Justin Spencer reached base in three of four games this weekend, including working two walks in game one of Saturday's doubleheader as he finishes the year second on the team with 28 walks. Fellow senior Migl closed with 31 free bases as Migl became the first Eagle since Derek Jones and Ben McKenzie in 2015 and 2016 to record back-to-back 60-hit campaigns.

Sterling Albrand logged his first hit of the season while also scoring his only run of the season in the season finale, with Hank Heiselbetz delivering just his seventh RBI of 2026 in the same outing, along with Sam Rodman in what was his fifth RBI.

Elijah Laus recorded hits in both starts against Sul Ross Friday and Saturday, both of which went for doubles in what were his fourth and fifth two-baggers of his senior campaign.

Seniors Tim Malone, Will Rodman, John Skweres and Jack Britton made it on the mound in Saturday's finale, with W. Rodman picking up a no-decision in game one after one inning of relief work. Skweres and Malone each went two innings, tallying two and one strikeout, respectively, while Britton claimed all two of his punch-outs of the season this afternoon in just one inning of work.

The Eagles close the 2026 season with a 17-33 record for its most wins since 2022 (21).
