No. 11 OC Disc Golf takes 2nd at Midwest Collegiate Championship

Winfield, Kan. - Oklahoma Christian took on the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Winfield, Kansas, over the weekend.
 
The playing conditions were extremely windy and cold, creating a harsh environment to play in.
 
After Three rounds, the Eagles came in 2nd place, one stroke short of forcing a playoff for 1st, behind No. 2 Emporia State.
 
In the two-round singles portion of the tournament, Landon Clark landed a top-10 finish by coming in 5th place in the D1 division with a score of +3. In the D2 division, Ethan Tripp came in 2nd place with an overall score of +3, tying Landon Clark.
 
On the last day during the team rounds, the Eagles sat tied for 3rd place overall. OC battled back all day and played hard to earn our runner-up finish.

Every one of our players battled through ups and downs, and each stroke mattered. I'm extremely proud of my team and their resilience. We are coming to nationals with our talons ready!

No. 11 Oklahoma Christian has a week off to prepare for the College Disc Golf National Championship, held in Marion, North Carolina, at the North Cove Social Club. The championship will take place from April 5th through the 8th.
