ROME (July 1, 2022) – Julia Mastrocinque, an intriguing outside hitter prospect from Rome, has signed to play college volleyball at Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Jason Skoch said Friday.

The 6-foot Mastrocinque played club volleyball for Hub Ambiente Teams Catania in her home nation. She's the second player from Italy to join OC for the 2022 season, joining Wendy Cobbah, who is transferring to OC from Wayland Baptist (Texas).

"We are excited about Julia's upside," Skoch said. "She is a very academic person and plays as such. We need quality six-rotation outside hitters and we feel Julia has the tools to have a complete game, being able to pass, defend and hit on both pins. As she gets stronger, we see her doing some good things for us."
