LAWRENCE, Kan. (April 30, 2022) –
Rebeca Morales was the runner-up in the 1,500 meters and
Bryah Davis finished in the top five in two sprint events to lead Oklahoma Christian's women's track and field team on Saturday in the Rock Chalk Classic at Rock Chalk Park.
Morales, a senior from Riverside, Calif., placed second among 22 women – many of them from NCAA Division I programs – with a time of 4:42.03.
Davis, a sophomore from Cedar Hill, Texas, placed fourth among 33 women in the 200 meters in 24.92 seconds and fifth among 32 in the 100 meters in 11.91 seconds.
Distance runner Jacinda Kwambain ran a personal-best time of 18:55.48 to finish 11th among 25 competitors in the 5,000 meters.
The Eagles' only other runner Saturday was junior
Payton Duesing of Lantana, Texas, who posted a time of 2:28.22 in the 800 meters.
OC will compete next Thursday through Saturday in the Lone Star Conference Championships in Kingsville, Texas.
