ST. LOUIS (April 1, 2022) – Oklahoma Christian standout
Kenya Bailey posted a personal-best time in the 5,000 meters on Friday night during the Washington University Distance Carnival at Bushyhead Track.
The festival, hosted by a NCAA Division III power, included five sections of the women's 5,000 meters that included a total of 136 runners. Bailey, a junior from Ponca City, Okla., ran in the final section and finished 15th in 17:32.76.
That was .05 of a second better than the time she posted last May in the Lee University Last Chance Meet in Cleveland, Tenn. Her time Friday also ranked as the second-best 5,000-meter time this season by a Lone Star Conference runner.
