COMANCHE, Okla. (Jan. 4, 2022) – Landon Ellis, a top small-school runner in the Oklahoma prep ranks, has signed to compete collegiately for Oklahoma Christian, OC coach Wade Miller said Tuesday.

Ellis, from Comanche in southwestern Oklahoma, finished in the top 10 in the Class 3A cross country meet in each of his four seasons in high school, topped by a fifth-place finish as a senior this past fall. He has a top time of 16:43 in 5,000-meter cross country.

In track and field, he finished fifth in the 800 meters (2:03.22) and 11th in the 1,600 meters in the Class 3A state meet last spring as a junior.

He is the first male runner to sign with OC during the current signing period.
