Johnson competes in 200 meters at Simpson meet

INDIANOLA, Iowa (April 23, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian sprinter Destiny Johnson competed in the 200 meters on Friday afternoon in the Kip Janvrin Open track and field meet at Buxton Stadium.

Johnson, a senior from Arlington, Texas, finished 16th in a field of 40 runners with a time of 26.61 seconds. She was a late entry to the meet hosted by NCAA Division III Simpson (Iowa), as she also is running this weekend at the Drake Relays in nearby Des Moines.

On Friday morning at Drake, she ran on OC's 4x100-meter relay team, which advanced from the preliminary round into the eight-team final on Saturday with a time of 47.76 seconds.
