DES MOINES, Iowa (April 23, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian's
Bryah Davis and her 4x100-meter relay teammates both advanced out of the preliminary round and
Kenya Bailey recorded a career-best time in the 5,000 meters on Friday morning in the Drake Relays.
Davis, a sophomore from Cedar Hill, Texas, finished second in her heat and took fourth overall among 21 runners in the College Division 100-meter prelims with a time of 12.60 seconds on the famed blue track at Drake Stadium.
That qualified her for Saturday morning's event final. Not long after, she and her 4x100 relay teammates did the same. The Eagles' quartet of senior

Atlanta Hopgood and Davis posted a time of 47.76 seconds to finish fifth among 26 teams (and second in their heat) to advance.
In the 5,000 meters, Bailey, a junior from Ponca City, Okla., finished sixth among 11 runners in 17:49.85, shaving more than 10 seconds off her previous best time in that event.

Kelsey Castillo of Edmond, Okla., took sixth among 16 runners in the 1,500 meters with a time of 4:42.88.
Along with the 4x100 relay team, OC runners scheduled to compete Saturday at Drake are Davis in the 100 and 200 meters, Harvey in the 200 meters and Castillo and
Payton Duesing in the 800 meters.
