SAN MARCOS, Texas (March 27, 2021) – Oklahoma Christian senior
Kelsey Castillo ran a career-best time in the 800 meters on Saturday afternoon on the final day of the Bobcat Invitational at the Texas State Track and Field Complex.
Castillo, from Edmond, Okla., won her heat race in 2:16.81 and finished fifth overall among 26 runners. She had the best time among the eight NCAA Division II runners in the race.
OC junior
Payton Duesing of Lantana, Texas, also ran in the race, finishing 12th in a career-best time of 2:20.62. She placed fourth among the Division II runners.
The Eagles will return to action on April 10 in the Wichita State Open in Wichita, Kan.
