OKLAHOMA CITY (Nov. 2, 2021) – Registration is now open for the annual Holiday Hustle races held on the Oklahoma Christian campus.
The event, set for Nov. 13, will feature a 5-kilometer race, a 10-kilometer race and a 440-meter kids run for ages 4 to 9. The 5K and 10K races utilize the Eagle Trail and are run on a USA Track and Field-certified course that is both flat and fast. The start and finish lines will be just east of the Gaylord University Center.
There will be prize money awarded to those competing at the elite level as well as age-group awards presented following the races. After the races, there will be a pancake breakfast.
"We want to support the sport of distance running in Central Oklahoma on every level," said event director Mark Thompson, a former OC cross country coach. "Races should be both competitive and loads of fun and should be a celebration of hard work and the God-given ability to run."
The Holiday Hustle benefits the OC cross country and track and field teams as well as the TeamOC Fitness and Wellness Program.
