OKLAHOMA CITY (June 20, 2019) – Oklahoma Christian runners will compete in four, and perhaps even five, meets during the 2019 cross country season, according to the schedule announced Thursday by coach Wade Miller.

As has become a tradition, OC's men's and women's teams will start the season in the Central Oklahoma Land Run, set for Sept. 7 at Edmond Santa Fe High School.

A week later, the Eagles will head west on Interstate 40 to compete for the first time in Southwestern Oklahoma State's Western Oklahoma Showcase.

After skipping the event last year, the Eagles will return to the Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., on Oct. 5. OC will field split squads on Oct. 12, with some runners going to the South Central Regional Preview, hosted by West Texas A&M in Canyon, Texas, and others headed to Shawnee for the Oklahoma Baptist Invitational.

OC, which will move into the Lone Star Conference this year, will make its inaugural appearance in the LSC Championship on Oct. 26, with the races to be hosted by Western New Mexico in Silver City, N.M. The NCAA Division II South Central Region Championship will be back in Canyon, Texas, on Nov. 9.

Should any OC runner qualify for the Division II Championship, those races will be held Nov. 23 in Sacramento, Calif.
