Box Score SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 21, 2016) – Haley Freyman of No. 10-ranked Tarleton State (Texas) outdueled Oklahoma Christian freshman Madison Hagood to lead the TexAnns to a 3-0 win over OC on Sunday in the final game of the Rattler Invitational for both softball teams.

Hagood (2-3) went the distance for OC, allowing seven hits and only one earned run while striking out four in a solid performance, while Freyman (10-3) limited the Lady Eagles to four hits, all singles.

The two pitchers held their opponents in check until the fourth inning, when Tarleton State (12-5) broke through, when Nyka Wood doubled to right field with one out and pinch-runner Taylor Fitzgerald scored on single to center field by Rebeka Allen.

The TexAnns made it 2-0 in the fifth on a run-scoring fielder's choice groundout by Melody Mayse and 3-0 in the seventh on a RBI double by Wood.

Kayla Eichler, Bridget White, Avery Walker and Niki Davidson each singled for OC (4-10), which didn't get a runner past first base against Freyman.

OC's Haley Squier was named to the All-Invitational team for the event.

The Lady Eagles will open Heartland Conference play on Friday, when they will visit Texas-Permian Basin for a doubleheader scheduled to start at 4 p.m.
