Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SAN ANTONIO (Feb. 21, 2015) – Kendra Pierce had four hits and freshman pitcher Madison Nordyke posted her first career win as Oklahoma Christian rallied for an 8-7 win over Tarleton State (Texas) on Saturday in the St. Mary's Tournament.

In their second game of the day, the Lady Eagles fell 5-4 to Texas Woman's despite a three-hit performance from Pierce. OC (5-1) will complete play in the tournament on Sunday against Central Oklahoma.

OC fell behind Tarleton State (9-7) in the first inning, giving up three runs, but answered with six runs in the top of the second. Courtney Starr hit a two-run single and Niki Davidson had a two-run double during the outburst.

The TexAnns scored twice in both the fourth and fifth to re-gain the lead at 7-6, but OC again had an answer, scoring twice in the top of the sixth. Haley Freyman (7-4) hit OC's Kelsie Finch with a pitch with the bases loaded to tie the game, and Jordan Chism's groundout scored Pierce with the go-ahead run.

OC used all four of its pitchers in the game, with Nordyke pitching the fifth inning to receive credit for the win. Shea Coats recorded five strikeouts in the final two innings to record her second save of the season.

In the second game, Texas Woman's (6-9) seized an early lead thanks to a two-run first-inning home run by Tori Bice off Nordyke (1-1). The Pioneers went ahead 4-0 in the third on back-to-back solo home runs by Nicole Nordie and Kendra Sancet.

OC's offense came to life in the fifth, taking advantage of singles by Starr and Pierce and a critical error by Nordie, the left fielder for Texas Woman's, to score three runs.

The Lady Eagles tied the game in the sixth when Haley Squier's single scored Kelsie Finch, but Texas Woman's answered in the bottom of the inning, as Bice singled and later scored on a sacrifice fly by Wittenburg.

Starr and Squier each had two hits for OC. Bice (4-5) went the distance in the circle for Texas Woman's.
