Oklahoma Christian fell 75-64 to Science and Arts of Oklahoma here Thursday night to drop to 11-11 overall and 5-7 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
USAO jumped out to an early 9-0 lead, but OC clawed back and pulled within two at 29-27 off a Keith Harris basket with 1:14 on the clock. The Eagles trailed 31-27 at the break.
A Micah Miles putback just 1:45 into the second half tied the game at 31-31. After trading baskets to make the score 33-33, USAO went on a 7-0 run to take a 40-33 advantage.
The Eagles fought back within one on two occasions thanks to a John Nottley putback at 12:43 and another Miles basket with 12:13 left.
But USAO answered with a 10-0 spurt to take an 11-point lead and cruised from there. The Drovers shot 52 percent in the second half to secure the victory.
OC was led by Charles Baldwin, who notched 19 points. Keith Harris added 14. Miles and Nottley each snagged 13 rebounds, with Miles adding 15 points for a double-double. USAO's Avery Stephenson led all scorers with 21.
The Eagles look to bounce back Saturday night in Shawnee against St. Gregory's at 8 p.m. OC beat SGU 63-56 on Jan. 20.
