With Jarred Merrill scoring in double digits, Oklahoma Christian rolled to a pair of victories in its annual Sleep Inn Classic with wins over Langston (Okla.) and Tabor College (Kan.). OC now is 4-0.

Merrill tallied 25 points and had 17 rebounds against Langston Nov. 14 and had 38 points and 11 caroms against Tabor Nov. 15.

Also in double figures against Langston were sophomore Brady Page with 17 points, and seniors Sam Word with 15 and Kelly Allen with 13. In the Tabor win, Page had 10 points.

In the Langston victory, a dramatic steal and layup by Word with 33 seconds to play nailed down the Eagles' win. Word followed with a free throw to turn it into a three-point play and an 80-75 margin. Free throws by Merrill and Word accounted for the 84-76 final.
