LUBBOCK, Texas (April 3, 2010) – No. 2 Lubbock Christian University ended an 11 game Lady Eagle winning streak as the Oklahoma Christian softball team fell in both doubleheader games on Saturday losing the first 10-2 and the second 8-0.

Game 1

The Lady Eagles were the first to get on the board against the Lady Chaparrals scoring a single run in the first inning. Christin Dobbs made it across the plate after Any Urbanovsky hit a deep sacrifice fly to right field.

Lubbock Christian came back with two runs in the bottom of the second to take a 2-1 lead heading into the third.

OC's DaVee Croy tied the game up for the Lady Eagles in the third inning, however, when Kayla Jennings hit a single up the middle driving Croy home.

The Lady Chaps then used the bottom of the third to break away from the 2-2 tie as they scored three runs to take a 5-2 lead.

Following a scoreless fourth inning, the Lady Chaps broke away from the Lady Eagles scoring two runs in the fifth and three more in the sixth to end the game an inning early with a 10-2 run rule.

Despite being run ruled, OC's Croy excelled at the plate going a perfect 3-for-3.

Game 2

OC found more trouble at the plate against the Lady Chaps in the second game of the day as the Lady Eagles only registered two hits and were unable to score.

LCU had no trouble putting up runs against the Lady Eagles as they scored eights runs over five innings to end the second game early as well. The Lady Chaps tallied three homers with one three run home run and one two run home run.

Urbanovsky and Ashley Calles tallied the only two hits for the Lady Eagles.

With the 8-0 loss the Lady Eagles fall to a 17-15 overall record and are 7-8 in the conference.

The Lady Eagles will continue play on the road next week as they head to Mid-America Christian University to play a doubleheader on Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m.
