RICHARDSON, Texas – Oklahoma Christian sophomore goalkeeper Dante Caffaro has been named the Lone Star Conference Goalkeeper of the Week following a strong opening week in goal for the Eagles.

Caffaro helped Oklahoma Christian open the 2026 season with back-to-back shutouts, as the Eagles started the year 2-0 for the first time since 2022.

The sophomore played all 180 minutes in goal and recorded eight saves without allowing a goal. Caffaro made two saves in OC's 3-0 season-opening victory over Colorado Christian, including a stop in the closing minute to preserve the shutout.

Caffaro followed that performance with six saves in a 1-0 road victory over Drury. The Panthers put six shots on goal, but Caffaro turned away all six to secure his second consecutive clean sheet.

Through the opening two matches, Caffaro recorded 8 saves during the two shutout performances.
