EDMOND - Powered by two first-half goals and a dominant defensive performance, Oklahoma Christian men's soccer team earned a 2-0 victory over Lone Star Conference (LSC) foe Lubbock Christian on Saturday afternoon at Eagle Soccer Field.
With the win, Oklahoma Christian improved to 6-4-3 overall and 3-0-3 in Lone Star Conference action, extending their unbeaten streak in conference play. Lubbock Christian dropped to 5-7-1 overall and 2-4-0 in LSC play.
Oklahoma Christian took control of the match early, creating quality chances in the opening minutes. After forcing an early save in the 16th minute, the Eagles broke through on the scoreboard at the 16:15 mark when Tyler Ackah-Wheatcroft finished a corner from Igor Caballero to put OC ahead 1-0. The goal marked Ackah-Wheatcroft's fourth strike of the 2026 campaign.
The Eagles kept their foot on the gas and doubled their advantage just 12 minutes later. In the 29th minute (28:41), midfielder Ismael Allimadi struck an unassisted goal to record his first of the season and extend the lead to 2-0 off another corner before halftime.
In the second half, the Eagles managed the match and protected their multi-goal lead. Goalkeeper Dante Caffaro and the OC backline including Luca Winder, Tyler Ackah-Wheatcroft, Joshua Wells, and Hunter Wilson among others, held Lubbock Christian to just one shot on goal throughout the 90 minutes, securing the clean-sheet victory.
