Caffaro Picks Up Fifth Clean Sheet, Landon Hahn Scores Game-Winner in Alpine

ALPINE, Texas – Oklahoma Christian men's soccer earned a dominant 1-0 victory on the road against Lone Star Conference foe Sul Ross State on Wednesday afternoon at Lobo Field. With the win, the Eagles improved to 6–3–3 overall and 2–0–3 in LSC play.

FIRST HALF

The Eagles came out aggressive from the kickoff, asserting offensive dominance and creating early looks. Oklahoma Christian registered 10 shots in the opening 45 minutes while limiting Sul Ross State to just four total attempts.

The breakthrough came late in the first half. In the 35th minute, substitute midfielder Landon Hahn took a feed from Alejandro Gomez and tucked the ball past Lobo keeper Matthew Martinez to notch his second goal of the season and give OC a 1-0 advantage.

Goalkeeper Dante Caffaro held firm on the other end, turning away the Lobos' lone shot on target during the opening period to ensure the 1-0 lead held going into halftime.

SECOND HALF

Oklahoma Christian kept up the pressure after the break, generating eight second-half shots while limiting Sul Ross State's scoring chances.

Despite a physical second half that saw a total of nine fouls and two yellow cards shown to the Eagles, OC maintained complete defensive control. Caffaro and the backline kept the Lobos off the score sheet for the remaining 45 minutes, never allowing a second-half shot on goal to secure the 1-0 clean sheet shutout.
