GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - Between both women and men, Oklahoma Christian claimed five top-8 individual finishes on day three of the 2026 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championships.
Vanessa Weatherford, after winning the the 50 yard freestyle conference title, earned herself a silver medal in the 100 butterfly with a time of 55.44 despite swimming a 56.16 time in the preliminaries.
In the same event,
Garrison Fenton placed sixth at 48.76.
Gui Martins (48.59) won his B final while swimming the seventh fastest time and just 19 hundredths of a second behind Fenton.
Blakely Schuricht was the second OC woman to place top-8 in her event, swimming the 400 IM in 4:31.86, beating the seventh-place swimmer by over two whole seconds.
In the final individual race of the night,
Joshua Brammer (1:37.76) and
Cash Strickland (1:39.84) for the men placed second and sixth, respectively, in the 200 freestyle. Brammer earned an NCAA Division II B cut while Strickland, after entering finals in eighth, bested his prelim time by a second and a half.
With three days down, Oklahoma Christian has two days remaining in the 2026 RMAC Championships. Day four prelims is set to begin at 10 a.m. MT / 11 a.m. CT.
