EDMOND, Okla. - Head women's bowling coach James Hayes introduced Raina Davis as his new assistant coach for the upcoming 2025-26 season.
"We are so excited to have Raina joining our coaching staff," head coach James Hayes said. "She will bring a lot of knowledge from her time as a player that I feel will benefit our ladies a lot. Raina has always been a hard worker and I know she will continue that as an assistant coach. I look forward to working with her as we continue to build this program stronger."
Davis comes to Oklahoma Christian following a playing career at Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) that featured her winning three straight NAIA Team National Championships in 2022, 2023 and 2024 and the Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championship in 2025.
Individually, Davis is a three-time Second Team All-SSACÂ selection. The All-Conference performer also logged three SSAC All-Academic Team appearances and was a National Collegiate Bowling Coaches Association National Scholar.
Davis earned her Bachelor's in Interior Design from SCAD, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude and was honored with the 2024 Interior Design Research Award. Davis went on to earn her Master's in Creative Business Leadership, also from SCAD.
Davis will take to the lanes, this time among the coaching ranks, Oct. 18-19 when OC opens its 2025 fall season in Wichita, Kan., in the Mid-States Championship hosted by Wichita State.
