BATON ROUGE, La. - The Oklahoma Christian women's bowling team traveled to the Bayou State as they went to Baton Rouge, La., to bowl the TNBA Open hosted by Jackson State University on Feb 27. - Mar 1.
Day One
The Lady Eagles first day of competition in Baton Rouge consisted of five baker matches. OC would go 2-3 in their matches as they faced off one team in the top 15 in Sam Houston State and would bowl a pinfall total of 4592 for the five matches which put them in fourth place in the eight team field.
Match 1: OC - 907 vs No. 14 Sam Houston State - 1000
Match 2: OC - 1023 vs Jackson State - 1006
Match 3: OC - 840 vs Alabama State - 871
Match 4: OC - 983 vs Southern University - 1002
Match 5: OC - 839 vs Grambling State - 610
Day Two
Oklahoma Christian looked to improve in the standing heading into day two with five traditional matches left to bowl in qualifying. Led by senior Tori Justice, who finished eighth individually, the Lady Eagles would bowl a pinfall total of 4730 which was good enough to keep them in the top four of qualifying. OC would also go 2-3 on the day as they faced three opponents ranked in the top 25.
Match 1: OC - 946 vs No. 23 Central Missouri - 1006
Match 2: OC - 1062 vs No. 17 Tulane - 845
Match 3: OC - 910 vs No. 14 Sam Houston State - 1130
Match 4: OC - 850 vs Jackson State - 973
Match 5: OC - 962 vs Alabama State - 941
Day Three
Oklahoma Christian still had a chance to improve their final standing for the tournament as they headed into a best of seven matchplay. After the three matches they would go 1-2, as they faced off against two opponents in the top 25 including a thrilling seven game upset match over No. 17 Tulane. The Lady Eagles would finish the tournament in fourth place and 5-8 overall for the weekend.

Match 2: OC - 4 vs No. 17 Tulane - 3
Match 3: OC - 2 vs Jackson State - 4
Next Up
OC will head out east to the Volunteer State to bowl the Music City Classic hosted by No. 2 Vanderbilt University in Smyrna, Tennessee on Mar. 6-8.
