Women's Bowling Finishes Third at GLVC Championships

BELLEVILLE, Ill. - The Oklahoma Christian women's bowling team headed up north to Belleville, Ill., to bowl the 2026 GLVC Tournament for a chance to keep their NCAA Championship hopes alive. 

Day One 

The Lady Eagles started the tournament as the five seed in the conference tournament, facing off against fourth seeded No. 24 Central Missouri in the first round. After a back and forth match ,OC would end up on top, taking the match 2-1 advancing to the second round. 

Oklahoma Christian would face top-seeded No. 8 Maryville in the second round of the GLVC Tournament. The Lady Eagles they defeated the No. 8 team in the country, 2-0, and advanced to the third round of the winner's bracket. 

Match 1: OC - 2 vs No. 24 Central Missouri - 1

Match 2: OC - 2 vs No. 8 Maryville - 0

Day Two 

OC would only have to bowl one match in day two of the tournament as they faced off against the two seed No. 14 Newman Jets. After a hard fought match, Oklahoma Christian would fall to the Jets, 2-0, and would bowl the final match of the losers bracket and face off against Maryville once again for a chance to bowl in the championship match. 

Match 1: OC - 0 vs No. 14 Newman - 2

Day Three 

The Lady Eagles would face off against the No. 1 seed Maryville in the final match of the losers bracket for a chance to bowl in the championship match. After a hard fought match, OC would fall to the Saints as they would go down 2-1 to officially end their chance at a GLVC Tournament Title.

Match 1: OC - 1 vs No. 8 Maryville - 2

Oklahoma Christian hopes to earn an at-large bid for regionals to extend their NCAA championship window and keep their season alive.
