RICHARDSON, Texas - Following the completion of the 2025 regular season, Oklahoma Christian's
Hunter Jones and
Trey Migl were named First and Second Team All-Lone Star Conference recipients, the league announced Wednesday, May 7.
Jones, a senior from Norman, Okla.
(Norman North HS), is the first Eagle to earn All-LSC First Team honors since 2021. Migl is also the first Second Team recipient since that same 2021 season. Jones and Migl mark the most All-Conference honorees for the maroon-and-gray since the 2021 campaign.
The senior catcher was named among the league's best after tying the LSCÂ single-season record with 52 walks in 2025, which is currently the fifth most in NCAA Division II, averaging 1.04 walks per game. Additionally, Jones owns the program record with 118 career walks and is tied for seventh with 20 career home runs.
At the plate, the Sooner State product was third on the team with a .354 batting average and was third in the conference with an on-base percentage of .535. Jones was also fifth in the league after slugging .715 on the year with a team-high 27 extra-base hits.
Migl, a junior transfer from Carl Albert State College and a Piedmont, Okla.
(Piedmont HS) native, led the Eagles in several major hitting categories in his first year with the program, including batting average (.363), hits (61) and home runs (13). Migl's 61 hits ties 2021 First Team recipient
Blake Empkey with the most single-season hits in OC's Lone Star Conference era.
The Eagles' hits leader finished the regular season third in the conference with 13 home runs, which is the sixth-most single-season home runs in program history. Migl had a team-high 16 games with at least two hits, including an OCÂ DII-era record six hits against Southwestern Oklahoma State, which was one shy of the LSC single-game record.
With Jones' and Migl's All-Conference nods, the duo will advance to the South Central All-Region ballot where they will look to become the first Eagles to receive All-Region accolades since 2021.
