INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - For the seventh consecutive year, the No. 7 Oklahoma Christian men's golf program will be playing postseason golf when it partakes in the South Central/West Regional at the Victoria Club in Riverside, Calif. May 8-10.
10 teams from both the South Central region and 10 teams from the West region qualified for the 2025 NCAA postseason. Oklahoma Christian qualified as the No. 2 seed and is joined by Lone Star Conference-members St. Mary's [3], LSC Champion Midwestern State [4], UT Tyler [7], DBU [9] and West Texas A&M [10].
Due to the south central and west region having three teams place in the top eight at last year's National Championships, the top six finishing teams along with the top two individuals on non-advancing teams out of the 20-team regional this season will advance to the 2025 NCAA Division II National Championships.
The Eagles, who won the stroke-play portion of the 2025 LSC Championships before falling in the semifinal round of medal match play to eventual-conference champ Midwestern St. their last time out on the course, has finished fourth or better in each of the last three Regionals, qualifying for Nationals in each of those three seasons.
Oklahoma Christian's three-year run at the National Championships includes reaching the national championship match in two of the last three years while falling to eventual-National Champion and in-region foe Colorado Christian in the 2024 national semifinals.
All five of the Eagles who competed in last year's semifinals are at head coach
David Lynn's disposal for this year's run. Leading yet another regional-bound squad is two-time defending Individual Conference Champion and 2024 Jack Nicklaus DII Male Golfer of the Year
Leandro Mihaich.
Backing up 2025 LSC First Team recipient Mihaich is fellow First Team recipient
Oskari Nikku and Second Team honoree and two-time defending LSC Academic Player of the Year
Exequiel Rodriguez.
Mihaich, Nikku and Rodriguez will lead OC to the Golden State for the 2025 NCAA South Central/West Regionar for 54 holes May 8-10.
