LA JOLLA, Calif. - Oklahoma Christian competed at the all-Division I tournament UC San Diego Invitational at Torrey Pines Golf Course, shooting a 34-over 898 across 54 holes.
The Eagles saw their best round of the tournament on the final day, carding a 5-over 293, besting three DI programs on the final 18.
Juan Repetto led OC on the final round with a 1-under 71 - the only Eagle to shoot a sub-par round across the three days - finishing tied for 63rd as the top-finishing Eagle. The sophomore Argentinian was one bogey on the the final hole away from recording a bogey-less round.
Between the first and third round, Repetto shot a 1-under 143, but an 8-over 80 second round put his final scorecard at 7-over 223.
Vertti Perala left the Golden State matched with Repetto at 63rd in the 104-player field after shooting rounds of 3-over 75, 2-over 74 and 2-over 74. Perala and Repetto tied for the team-lead with 36 pars across the 54 holes.
Mason Brown, after an opening-round 6-over 78, tallied back-to-back 2-over 74s for a spot at 75th on the leaderboard with a 10-over 226. Brown led OC with eight birdies for the week, including four birdies on his first 18.
Alex Rigby and
Carson Lee rounded out the Eagle five-bag with a 13-over 229 and a 21-over 237.
Oklahoma Christian will take off a week from competition before heading to Mayetta, Kan., for the Firekeeper Invitational Apr. 6-7 for its final regular season tournament before the LSC Championships.
