EDMOND, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian will play its final four games of the 2025 season this weekend when the Eagles make their first-ever trip to Sul Ross State for a four-game series. First pitch is set for Friday, Apr. 25 at 4 p.m.
EAGLE OUTLOOK (10-36, 9-35 LSC)
The last time playing away from Dobson Baseball Field, Oklahoma Christian split the four-game series at Texas Permian Basin. The Eagles currently own their best road record since 2022 and, with just three wins this weekend over the Lobos, will have reached their most road wins in a single season since joining the Lone Star Conference.
Oklahoma Christian enters the final weekend of the season with its best team-batting average since 2021. Leading the offensive charge continues to be
Michael Adair, who is hitting a team-leading .360 and joins
Hunter Jones as the only two players on the team among those with at least 35 starts who is slugging over .500 while also holding an on-base percentage above .500.
Joining Adair in leading the offense is fellow-transfer
Trey Migl, who paces the team with 55 hits and 11 home runs. With four more hits this weekend, Migl will have the most single-season hits by an OC player since
Blake Empkey in 2021 (61), while already having the most single-season home runs by an Eagle since 2021.
SCOUTING SUL ROSS STATE (4-42, 3-41 LSC)
Sul Ross State is four games away from completing its inaugural year in the Lone Star Conference. The former NCAA Division III-program has picked up just one win at home this season compared to three victories on the road. The Lobos welcome OC to Alpine, Texas, this weekend while on a nine-game skid.
Infielder Primo Vasquez leads the Sul Ross bats with a .333 batting average, 52 hits and 29 RBI. As a team, the Lobos are hitting .254 and hold a team-ERA of 15.53, both of which rank last in the LSC.
