FORT WORTH, Texas - The Oklahoma Christian women's bowling team headed down south to Fort Worth, Texas to bowl the Bulldog Classic hosted by No. 10 Louisiana Tech on Feb. 28- Mar. 2. 

Day One 

The Lady Eagles bowled five baker matches to start the weekend off in the Lone Star state as they went 3-2 for the day rolling an overall pinfall total of 4,409 putting them in fourth place for qualifying. 

Match 1: OC - 911 vs Jackson State - 870

Match 2: OC - 930 vs Morgan State - 854

Match 3: OC - 792 vs Central Missouri - 814

Match 4: OC - 915 vs Saint Anselm College - 695

Match 5: OC - 861 vs Prairie View A&M - 901

Day Two 

OC would have a repeat of day one in which they would go 3-2 on the day, but they would also face tougher competition as they faced four teams ranked in the top 25, two of which are in the top 10, as they improved their record on the weekend to 6-4. 

For the five team games, the Lady Eagles bowled a pinfall total of 4,562, led by senior Shelby Davis, who averaged 206, and junior Jaymie Burrow, who averaged 203, helped improve Oklahoma Christian in the standings to third after qualifying. 

Due to their excellent bowling, Davis had finished second individually and Burrow finished fourth, earning them both a spot on the All Tournament Team.

Match 3: OC - 996 vs No. 19 Tulane  - 845

Match 4: OC - 983 vs No. 25 Alabama State - 876

Day Three

OC headed into day three with a chance to improve their final standing in matchplay. The Lady Eagles would face off against three top 25 teams in the best four out of seven matches as they would go 2-1 in matchplay and would finish the tournament third overall in the ten team field and finish the weekend with an 8-5 record for their best finish of the season. 

Match 1: OC - 4 vs No. 19 Tulane  - 3

Match 2: OC - 1 vs No. 10 Louisian Tech - 4

Match 3: OC - 4 vs No. 25 Alabama State  - 3

Up Next 

Oklahoma Christian will head back down to the Lone Star State as they will go to Fort Worth, Texas to bowl the ITC's on Mar. 7-9 for a chance to return to Nationals.
