JONESBORO, Ark. - In the second tournament of the 2024 fall season, No. 4 Oklahoma Christian is currently in fourth place at the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate with a 36-hole score of 16-under 560 following rounds of 11-under 277 and 5-under 283.

Trailing tournament-host and team leader (RV) Arkansas State by 12 strokes plus just two other Division I programs by a combined two strokes, the Eagles are in the Natural State representing NCAA Division II as the only non-DI program in the 15-team field.

Following the first two rounds of play, Exequiel Rodriguez is tied for 10th after carding consecutive sub-par rounds for a current 5-under 139 scorecard. On the second 18, Rodriguez carded a 6-under 30 on the front nine before finishing 4-under 68.

Oskari Nikku (T15) and true freshman Juan Repetto (T18) joined Rodriguez with two rounds of golf under par as the duo heads into the the final round with a 4-under 140 and 3-under 141, respectively.

Leandro Mihaich saw the best round of any Eagle golfer with an opening-round 5-under 67, courtesy of seven birdies to just two bogeys. Following a tied-for-third finish at the season-opening NCAA National Preview, Mihaich sits pat with Nikku at 15th with a 4-under 140.

Blas Ayesa (T55) rounds out the OC five-bag with a two-round total of 5-over 149 after recording a team-high 14 pars in the day's second round.

Mason Brown and Vertti Perala played as individuals for head coach David Lynn's squad, carding a 13-over 157 and 17-over 161 in their first appearances of the 2024 campaign. Perala had the fifth best opening round of any Eagle with a 1-over 73 that featured 12 pars and three birdies.

Oklahoma Christian will return RidgePointe Country Club tomorrow morning as the calendar turns to October for the final round of the Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate.
