Thackerville, Okla. - No. 6 Oklahoma Christian kicked off the postseason with several Eagles earning honors at the Lone Star Conference tournament opening banquet. 

Eagles Honored 

Junior computer science major, Exequiel Rodriguez is honored with Academic Player of the Year. Rodriguez exemplifies life as a student-athlete with a 4.0 GPA and is now named to the LSC Commissioner's Honor Roll for two consecutive years. Along with the honor of Academic Player of the Year, Rodriguez was named to the All-Conference First Team. Rodriguez has had a great season with a scoring average of 70 is ranked in the top-20 nationally and sits at seventh regionally going into the postseason. 

Sophomore Leandro Mihaich joined the Eagles this year after a year at Oklahoma City University and with his performance this season he has been named LSC Newcomer of the Year. Mihiach is going into conference tournament play with a scoring average of 70, claimed two top-3 finishes this season, and is ranked ninth nationally and fifth in the regional rankings. Along with being named Newcomer of the Year, Mihaich was also named to the All-Conference First Team. 

Junior Oskari Nikku was the final Eagle recognized for his outstanding play this season with an LSC All-Conference First Team honor. Nikku has two top-3 finishes with a scoring average of 70.9 and is ranked twenty-sixth nationally and tenth regionally going into the conference tournament. 

Eagles Back In Action 

The No. 6 ranked Eagles will tee off in the Lone Star Conference tournament tomorrow morning with 54-hole stroke play over Monday and Tuesday, with the top-4 teams competing in medal match play on Wednesday for the conference championship.
