Neil Hilton Named Men’s Soccer Head Coach

Oklahoma Christian University is excited to welcome back Neil Hilton as the eighth head men's soccer coach in program history.

"Oklahoma Christian is extremely close to my heart for many reasons, but the Soccer program in particular. This opportunity is one that I don't take lightly." Hilton said on the opportunity to return to his alma mater. "This is a very proud moment in my career, and I'm excited to provide student-athletes a platform to express themselves on and off the field. Oklahoma Christian is a special University, and I can't wait to represent it as the Men's Soccer Head Coach."

Hilton was a multi-year captain with the Eagles and was one of the best in the program's history. A four-year starter at Oklahoma Christian, Hilton earned All-SAC First Team honors in 2011 and Second Team honors in 2010. He competed in 68 games, finishing his career with 20 goals and 25 assists. Hilton is still tied for the program's single season assist record after recording 11 dimes in his senior season.

Neil is joining OC after a three-year coaching stint at Mid-America Christian, and he previously served as the varsity boys' soccer coach at Yukon High School. In his last season with the Millers in 2022, Hilton led the team to an 8-4 record and was named the Oklahoma 6A Boys Soccer Coach of the Year. Hilton has led the Yukon soccer program since the 2013-2014 season.

In his single season at the helm at MACU, Hilton led the Evangels to their first undefeated season in program history, ending the year with a 17-0-4 (.905) overall record while guiding MACU to its third-straight Sooner Athletic Conference regular season title (8-0-1) and fourth-consecutive SAC Tournament Championship. He also led the team to eight consecutive weeks atop the NAIA Top 25 Coaches Poll.

"We are extremely excited to name Neil Hilton as our new Men's Soccer Coach. I truly believe Coach Hilton will continue to build on the success and momentum we have had over the past three years." Athletic Director David Lynn said. "Neil had a great career at OC as a player and has been successful at every level of coaching as an assistant and head coach. Neil was a natural fit for OC and is already beloved on our campus by all who know him. I am thankful to welcome Neil and his wife Rachel into our OC Family."

Hilton earned his Bachelor's Degree in what is now Sports Management in 2012 and Master's Degree in Business Administration in 2014 from Oklahoma Christian University, as well as a Master's in Special Education from Southern Nazarene University in 2021
