Nakolo Makes History with D2CCA First Team All-America Nod

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Ethan Nakolo completed his historic sophomore season by becoming Oklahoma Christian men's soccer's inaugural Division II Conference Commissioner's Association First Team All-American, the D2CCA announced Tuesday, Dec. 9.

Oklahoma Christian was the only Lone Star Conference program to produce a first team recipient and one of three south central region teams with an honoree.

Nakolo's run on postseason awards began with the LSC Forward of the Year and Player of the Year. The Yukon, Okla., native then became the program's first-ever South Central Region Player of the Year before nabbing All-America recognition.

The Eagles' sophomore sensation set the program's goals record of the DII era with 17 overall goals and 14 against NCAA competition, closing the regular season tied as the nation's goals leader.

"Ethan has put his name in the Oklahoma Christian history books forever, but the biggest compliment I can give him is how humble he remained throughout his historic season," head coach Neil Hilton said. "I have known Ethan and his family for many years and to see his development as a player and more importantly as a person has been a joy for me personally."

Coach Hilton spent four years as Nakolo's coach - two at Yukon High School as a freshman and sophomore and his two years at Oklahoma Christian. Nakolo's nationally-recognized sophomore season led him to sign with NCAA Division I Northwestern of the Big Ten following the completion of the 2025 fall campaign.

"Ethan's development shows how invested we are in giving our players a platform to excel, this being OC's third player in two years to move up to Division I," Hilton said. "In today's college soccer climate, it is something to be proud of that we are developing quality players here at Oklahoma Christian."

"As his coach, friend and an OC alum, we are so proud of Ethan's achievements."
