SMYRNA, Tenn. - Oklahoma Christian bowled their second tournament of the weekend in the Volunteer State as they bowled the MCS Brandon Burns Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 27.Â
OC's varsity team finished the day in third place in the final standings after rolling a total of 5,941 against the 17-team field. Led by senior C.J. Petrin, who averaged 231.5 on the day, barely missing the All-Tournament Team by nine total pins before finishing in seventh individually.Â
The Eagles JV1 team also finished in third place in the 12 team junior varsity field, shooting 5,502 against the 12 team junior varsity field. Freshman Taylan McCleery led the JV1 squad with a 213.8 average on the day.Â
Thoughts from Coach James Hayes
"We struggled on Saturday with execution but bounced back on Sunday with a better showing," Hayes said. "Overall it has been a good fall semester. We get a little break now to rest up and work on some things before heading to Vegas in December."

Oklahoma Christian will take the month of November off from competition and will hit the lanes again on Dec. 18-21 as they bowl the Glen Carson Las Vegas Invitational and the Collegiate Shoot-Out in Las Vegas, Nev. for back-to-back Tier 1 tournaments.
