WICHITA, Kan. - Oklahoma Christian men's bowling headed up to Wichita, Kan. for the Mid-States Championship hosted by Wichita State and Newman University on Oct. 19-20.
Day OneÂ
Oklahoma Christian bowling brought their Varsity, JV1, and JV2 teams to the Mid-States Championships. Varsity needed to finish in the top eight after qualifying in order to bowl in match play while JV1 and JV2 needed to finish in the top two to make match play in their division.Â
OC's varsity had themselves a good day to start the weekend as they were able to shoot a total of 6,213 for the six team games led by freshman Landon Connell, who averaged 222 on the day which was good enough to get him fourth in individuals and make the All-Tournament Team. This performance by the team helped get them in second place in the 31 team field going into day two with 16 baker games left to bowl.Â
The Eagles' JV1 team, led by senior Carter Robinson who averaged 217 on the day, is sitting in fourth place in the junior varsity field with a team total of 5,738. Robinson was able to reach the fifth place spot on the individual side which secured him a spot, alongside Connell, on the All-Tournament Team.

Oklahoma Christian's JV2 team was sitting seventh in the junior varsity field, with a pinfall total of 5,307. Both JV teams held a chance to move up in the standings with the opportunity to snag the two match-play spots for a chance at making it an all OC JV match play.Â
Day TwoÂ
After bowling the 16 baker games, Oklahoma Christian varsity finished qualifying in third, securing them a spot in matchplay.Â
On the JV side, JV1 finished in fourth and JV2 finished in sixth in their division missing matchplay.Â
