EDMOND, Okla. - Through 18 matches, Oklahoma Christian volleyball has played just two of those matches inside the Payne Athletic Center. Beginning Friday, Oct. 18, the Eagles will spend their next seven matches on their home floor.

Conference-foes Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International will kick off OC's home stand Friday at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m., respectively.

EAGLE OUTLOOK (11-7, 2-4 LSC)
To officially kick off this near month-long home stand, Oklahoma Christian stepped outside of conference play to battle Southern Nazarene last Tuesday, Oct. 15. The Eagles posted their second consecutive sweep, downing SNU, 25-17, 25-18 and 25-22. As a team, OC hit .270 while holding the Crimson Storm to a .121. hitting percentage.

Both Chloe Jones (.406) and Lauren Cary (.444) hit over .400 to highlight the efficient offensive display. Junior Annie Davis came off the bench and delivered a season-high 10 kills. The aforementioned Jones recorded double-digit kills for the fifth consecutive match while logging her 10th double-double of the 2024 campaign.

Senior setter and second-year Eagle Lauren McClure secured her 2230th career assist Tuesday as she is currently second on the team with 301 assists this season (Sophie Mae Smith, 322). Assists leader Smith is 15th in the Lone Star Conference with 5.11 assists per set. With the duo facilitators, OC is 13th in the league as a team with 11.56 assists per set.

This weekend's matches will serve as a great barometer test for head coach Asa Freeman about his team as OC is within a match of both Texas A&M-Kingsville and Texas A&M International in the LSC standings. Statistically, all three squads are between eighth and 13th in the conference in every major statistical category. Oklahoma Christian is 3-1 and 1-2 all-time against TAMUK and TAMIU, respectively.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-KINGSVILLE (10-7, 2-4 LSC)
Kingsville comes into Friday's match with the exact same 2-4 conference record as Oklahoma Christian, with the Javelinas' two LSC wins coming against UT Permian Basin and Western New Mexico. After starting the year 7-2, TAMUK has gone 3-5 in its last eight matches, including a current two-match skid.

The Javelinas' defense boasts the second best blocking numbers in the conference, averaging 2.23 blocks per set, which is 45th in NCAA Division II. Kingsville's Ayanna Jackson (1.14) and Natalee Rush (0.92) are each Top-10 in the league in blocks per set. Oklahoma Christian's Camryn McGough is just ahead of Rush at ninth with 0.93 rejections per set.

SCOUTING TEXAS A&M-INTERNATIONAL (6-9, 3-3 LSC)
Unlike OC and TAMUK, the Dustdevils started the year just 2-5 in their first seven matches, but have since gone .500 over their last eight contests. Texas A&M International won its first three conference matches, including back-to-back five-set triumphs over St. Edward's and Kingsville, but have since dropped three straight in league play.

International is one of just two LSC teams which have at least two players among the league's Top-10 kills leaders in regards to kills per set. Mia Molina is second in the conference and 40th in DII at 3.89 kills per set while Aryanna Ledet is eighth at 3.54 winners per frame. Jones for Oklahoma Christian is 11th in the Lone Star with 3.30 kills per set.
