COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The Oklahoma Christian men's swimming program, with three overall meets under its belt, nears its mid-season meet tabbed tied-for-second in the 2024 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Coaches Poll.
Tied-for-second matches the OC men's highest finish in the RMAC Preseason Coaches Poll. Colorado Mesa garnered all five possible first-place votes as the Mavericks were to picked to win a seventh consecutive conference championship.
Colorado School of Mines, which has finished as RMAC Runner-Up each of the last five seasons, received the other first-place vote and 18 points to finish tied for second with the Eagles.
Head coach
Josh Davis in his ninth season at the helm of the OC swimming program returns 2024 200-yard breaststroke national champion
JT Amrein to the 2024-25 squad. Amrein won that same event plus the 100 breast at last season's conference championships.
Returning alongside Amrein is
Victor Rosado, who was a four-time All-American at the 2024 NCAA Division II National Championships with a personal-best fourth-place finish in the 500 freestyle (4:18.78). Headlining the new faces on Davis' squad is
Jarod Arroyo, who was a part of NCAA Division I Arizona State national championship team and back-to-back Pac-12 Champions.
Oklahoma Christian men's swimming will continue its 2024 season Friday, Sept. 18 in Dallas, Texas, when OC goes up against a pair of NCAA Division I clubs in SMU and Incarnate Word.
