Eagles Win First Set Before Falling Against Lady Chaps

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. - Oklahoma Christian (7-6, LSC 1-1) rolled into the Nest off the home-opening sweep over Eastern New Mexico, to take on Lubbock Christian (9-3, LSC 1-1) in another Lone Star Conference matchup.

FIRST SET
Camryn McGough picked up where she left off in the opening set, with three kills in the first four points, and seven total in the first set. The Eagles kept the Lady Chaps at bay for most the set, but LCU was able to tie the set at 17 and take a 20-19 lead. The lead didn't last long, and a Sara Freeman ace, and McGough's sixth and seventh kills gave OC the opening set.

SECOND SET
OC took an early lead in the second set, but Lubbock Christian gained traction in the teens, taking an 18-11 lead, before winning 25-15.

THIRD SET
LCU looked to take control after an early back and forth set by taking an 18-13 lead, but three Annie Davis kills, and a couple Chaps errors made cut the Lubbock lead down to 19-18. Lubbock Christian rallied after that to go on a 6-1 run and win 25-19.

FOURTH SET
Oklahoma Christian took an 11-10 lead, and looked to have some momentum, before the Lady Chaps pulled away to win the set and the match.
